"Pharmacy" and "pharmaceuticals"

Pharmacy - part of Pharmacy, associated directly with the problems of production and technological process. The term "pharmacy" is not synonymous with the term "pharmacy".
 
"Pharmacy" and "pharmaceuticals" can be regarded as different historical stages, two different approaches to making drugs. Traditional, for centuries used the method of Pharmacy is unproductive manual labor in the silence of "Pharmacy", pharmacy, for the preparation and leave a limited number of doses of medicine for a small group of patients. Obtained in this way drugs differ inadequate standard, often provide undesirable side reactions in patients taking them. The imperfection of this expensive, low-economic effect of the method became apparent in the early nineteenth century, when for the first time in the United States initiated a massive standardized, highly productive and cheaper industrial production of medicines - Pharmaceuticals by pharmaceutical companies.  

Pharmacy was a technological step in the development of pharmacy, a new, modern production of drugs and substances [1,2]. Soon such production occurred in other Western countries, but in the end of XIX century in Russia. Currently, the pharmaceutical industry and its part and parcel of Pharmacy - a thriving sector of the economy  worldwide.
